Harry Melling continues to have a wonderful career outside of Potter with The Queen’s Gambit!
From Dudley Dursley to roles in prominent Netflix properties, Harry Melling is having quite the career and it’s lovely to see how he’s grown into a wonderful young actor!
The young actors from the Harry Potter series have continued to grow in their careers post the series and Harry Melling is no different! Bringing Dudley Dursley to life in the movies, Melling has had quite the year with roles in prominent Netflix properties and now he’s starring in The Queen’s Gambit with Anya Taylor-Joy!
The great thing about Harry Melling as an actor is that he can completely transform himself into each roll he plays. When he appeared in The Devil All The Time earlier this fall, he was barely recognizable as the Dudley we knew growing up.
And the same thing happened with The Queen’s Gambit. Playing Harry Beltik, he is completely different from anything we’ve seen before. And that’s include his role as Merrick in The Old Guard (which came out earlier this year).
It’s been wonderful to see how Harry Melling has grown as an actor since his time as Dudley Dursley. This year alone, he’s starred in three major things to come out and hopefully his career just keeps growing as he’s set to play Malcolm in a version of Macbeth.
Whatever Harry Melling chooses to do with his career, it will be wonderful to continue to see him grow as an actor outside of what we saw in the Harry Potter series. And we can’t wait to see where his roles take him next!
