Halloween and Hogwarts: Why it never was a really fun time to be at school there
The spooky season is a fun time for a lot of people but for whatever reason, it was not the time to go to Hogwarts because everything became a bit of a scary mess there.
For fans of the Harry Potter series, dressing up like Harry and his friends and getting to be part of the magic at Hogwarts for Halloween has been something we’ve loved for years. That’s not to say that the actual characters had a fun time during Halloween.
For whatever reason, Hogwarts didn’t seem to be too fun during the Halloween season. Maybe because they were witches and wizards or something else but it seemed to always be a bad situation when the pumpkins came out.
A troll was in the dungeon, children started to get frozen by a snake in the pipes, Sirius Black and the dementors were on the loose…everything always seemed to not be too great around Halloween. Which has to be strange cause Hogwarts would probably be the BEST place to celebrate Halloween and, instead, students were always battling some evil thing.
Plus, it isn’t a great time of year for Harry (though it is for the rest of the wizarding world). Halloween might be great for the rest of us but in the context of this series, the characters never really seemed to have a good time and honestly, that is bad. Maybe Albus Severus and his siblings could have a better go of it while they’re at Hogwarts. At least they don’t have to actively worry about Voldemort.
