The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

V.E. Schwab is becoming a commonly known name in fantasy, and with the Shades of Magic and Villains series under her belt, it’s easy to see why. And Schwab’s newest release promises to take viewers on a magical romp through time — one that’s already received enough hype to be picked up for a film adaptation.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue tells the tale of a woman who’s been cursed because of a bargain she made in order to escape an unwanted marriage. For the rest of her life, no one will remember Addie LaRue, no matter how much of an impact she has on them or the world. The moment she’s out of eyeshot, she’s forgotten — and she can’t leave any mark behind as a reminder.

It’s a dirty trick played by the being who cursed her, but Addie refuses to let him win. She vows to keep living in spite of her bizarre and lonely circumstances, no matter how much her devil insists she should just give up. And good thing, too — because around the 300-year mark, someone finally remembers her.

This turn of events leaves Addie with questions to answer and difficult choices to make, and her journey is likely to leave viewers in tears by the end. This October release is a can’t-miss for fans of historical fiction and fantasy.

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is now available in ebook, print, and audiobook formats.
