The Nightmare Before Christmas

Who doesn’t love a good Disney animated classic? And although The Nightmare Before Christmas is a great watch for any time of the year, it especially shines during Halloween and Christmas. Let’s be honest, though: As much as Jack loves Christmas, he’s the pumpkin king, so Halloween is the best time to throw this on the television.

And now you can watch Jack’s adventures on Disney+. The film sees Jack discovering Christmas Town after spending his whole life in Halloween Town — and then, you know, attempting to kidnap Santa and steal his job. No big deal. If the movie’s premise isn’t enough to prompt a first watch or rewatch though, it’s soundtrack will be. Just go listen to a song or two. It’s one of Disney’s best!

Frankenweenie

Sure, Disney animated classics are the studio’s top tier of animated content — but that doesn’t mean their newer films aren’t worth watching. And Frankenweenie is another fun one to add to a Halloween marathon, particularly if you’re watching with the entire family.

The movie follows the aptly named Victor Frankenstein, a young boy whose dog is really his only friend. When Sparky dies, however, Victor is left devastated and alone — and with nothing but a plan to bring his beloved pet back from the dead. Everything goes according to plan, and Sparkly is every bit as adorable undead as he was alive. Unfortunately, when Victor’s classmates start resurrecting other animals, however, chaos ensues.
