Want to get inspired to vote in the upcoming presidential election? Well, there are some new Hamilton lyrics to get you out there to the polls!

Ever wish that there were new Hamilton lyrics to go with our current political climate? Well, you’re in luck! In a move to try and get people to the polls to take part in this presidential election, Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and stars from various casts of the hit Broadway show joined together to sing slightly altered versions of iconic songs.

“Alexander Hamilton,” “Aaron Burr, Sir,” “Guns and Ships,” and, of course, “The Election of 1800” were all changed to have lyrics that reflect how to vote in the upcoming election and why you should make sure to get registered and get your ballot in so that your voice can be heard this year.

The video was part of the When We All Vote organization in hopes of getting Americans out to the polls this coming November. As the video states, there were so many Americans who didn’t vote in the last election and this election is maybe our most important election yet.

The video in question stars cast members from Mandy Gonzalez to Daniel Yearwood and, of course, Lin-Manuel Miranda himself inspiring young people and their fellow Americans to be prepared.

This is an incredibly cool move by the cast and creatives behind Hamilton. We see year after year the impact this musical had on young people just getting into Broadway and politics and how the show, itself, was connected to our political world outside of just the name and content.

During the Obama administration, Miranda performed for President Obama multiple times and the show had an important place in that administration and so now, to inspire people to get out and vote and have their voices be heard? It’s incredible!

Shout it from the rooftops: Hamilton is coming to Disney Plus. dark. Next
