The trailer for A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting shows off a fun-filled Halloween film we can’t wait to watch.

October is almost upon us, and that means it’s time to start deciding on which films and shows we’ll be watching for Spook Season this year. Although classic horror movies are usually a given, darkness and gore aren’t for everyone — and sometimes we need a fun-filled Halloween movie to take the edge off. (This is especially going to be true in 2020!)

If you’ve already watched Hocus Pocus an embarrassing number of times, though, Netflix is bringing us a monster movie that seems to check all the boxes for a fun, family-friendly adventure. The trailer for A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting promises an entertaining story about a group of babysitters trying to save the kids they’re supposed to be watching from monsters.

Watch the trailer for A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting here:

Kelly, played by Tamara Smart, is unwittingly thrown into this bizarre world of monsters and monster hunters when she’s babysitting one night. And her dynamic with Liz Lerue already shines in this first look at the film, so it’s easy to imagine that will be one of the movie’s winning elements.

Harry Potter star Tom Felton is also back as a villain who isn’t Draco Malfoy, and that’s almost enough of a reason to check out this Netflix movie. His look in the trailer is giving off some serious Rumplestiltskin vibes.

A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting arrives on October 14 — just in time to add to a Halloween movie night. We’re already getting the candy ready for this one!
