One of the best things about watching something entertaining is when they relate back to something else you know and love, like when Lucifer Morningstar or other characters on Lucifer bring up Harry Potter.

When it comes to references to the Harry Potter series, we are no strangers to them but even Lucifer has some great jokes. From Linda and Lucifer talking about angel school as if it was Hogwarts or when Amenadiel brings up the series to Cain when they’re talking.

So why is it funny? Because you wouldn’t necessarily picture a series about the Devil bringing up the Harry Potter series multiple times. But then again, Lucifer is a completely new and interesting look at the character of Satan himself in Lucifer.

But why is that a fun way of looking at the Devil? Probably because that means in the context of Lucifer that the Devil either read the books or went to the movies and watched all the Harry Potter films and liked them enough to remember plot points and references to it.

So yeah, it probably is more just one of the writers is a fan of the Harry Potter series in general or something else but the fact that the Devil made a reference to the Hogwarts houses and going to Hogwarts? It’s just something that is fun for fans to see.

Especially since Lucifer Morningstar is definitely a Gryffindor, right? Like….you probably think he’s a Slytherin but he’s definitely a Gryffindor in the way he goes about things while working with the LAPD.

Next. Amber Ruffin made a wonderful Harry Potter joke on the pilot of her new show!. dark
