One of the best things the Harry Potter series gave us was Robert Pattinson and the actor shines in Netflix’s The Devil All The Time as Preston Teagardin, the preacher with an agenda.

The Devil All The Time is a wonderful look at how Robert Pattinson has grown as an actor. While many of us first met him as Cedric Diggory, the boy wonder who was everyone’s dream, it’s exciting to see how different he is as Preston Teagardin in the Netflix film.

The preacher with an agenda, Preston Teagardin is in the “preaching” business for all the wrong reasons. Including the fact that he doesn’t care about the words he’s saying or what he’s telling the people of his church, just how they can benefit him.

It’s a departure for Pattinson from what we know him for but his entire career is interesting to look at. There isn’t really anything that is similar to one another and The Devil All The Time brought a new terrifying level to Pattinson’s work.

So if you love the actor and can’t wait for his turn as Bruce Wayne, this might be a nice change of pace from the Cedric Diggory we all know and love so well. It can make him seem a lot less “good” in our eyes before we get to see him as the Dark Knight in Matt Reeves’ The Batman that is supposed to come out at some point next year.

But whether you watch it or not, it is lovely to see Pattinson still working and being one of our best actors!

dark. Next. Hey, Warner Bros., let’s not bring J.K. Rowling’s warped views into anything Harry Potter related
