Passionflix celebrates its third birthday while looking ahead to a bright future for its streaming content.

Twenty-twenty has been a very difficult year for the entertainment industry, but Passionflix has managed to move full steam ahead with the release of four movies, three of which arrived during the global pandemic. September 1 marked the romance streamer’s third birthday, and the future is looking bright as the platform looks ahead to future projects.

At first glance, Passionflix is yet another island in a vast sea of specialty streaming sites. However, in reality, it’s unlike anything on the market, as CEO and founder Tosca Musk and her team work to bring the best romance novels to life for a fandom that is ready to devour every ounce of content they put forth.

As romance fans themselves, the folks at Passionflix have cultivated an inclusive community of romance enthusiasts from all over the world, all of whom congregate on social media to celebrate their favorite authors, Passionflix’s movie adaptations, and the actors who bring their beloved characters to life.

There is no judgment about being a romance fan in this space. There are no eyerolls about steamy cover models or snarky remarks about Alpha males and plucky heroines. Romance encompasses a variety of genres and tropes, and Passionflix embraces each and every one with care and consideration for the authors who bring the stories to life and the fans who love them.

And, in 2020, Passionflix proved how special it is by delivering three movies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The highly anticipated Gabriel’s Inferno movie, adapted from author Sylvain Reynard’s best-selling Gabriel Series, launched to great fanfare in the spring despite the world being locked down. Part 1 debuted in May, followed by Part 2 in July and Part 3 soon to follow on November 19.

Musk and her team were committed to bringing these movies to fans in need of a diversion in the midst of the global pandemic, and the result was massive growth for the Passionflix community.

Now, as Hollywood slowly starts to get back to work, Musk is already looking ahead at filming new short films (known on the site as “Quickies”) to test the waters before returning to work on Gabriel’s Rapture and all of their new acquisitions in development, including Jennifer Armentrout’s Wicked and the newly acquired Beauty Series by Georgia Cates.
