The Silvered Serpents – Roshani Chokshi

Roshani Chokshi’s sequel to The Gilded Wolves is another novel that was originally supposed to release earlier this year, only to see its publication date pushed back thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Silvered Serpents officially arrives this month to the delight of fans everywhere and will continue Choksi’s story of a gang of misfits and damaged thieves.

The sequel picks up roughly where the first left off, with Severin and friends still reeling from the events and revelations that concluded the first novel. The group will rapidly be thrown them together again for one last mission: A hunt for a long lost artifact rumored to grant the person who wields it immeasurable godlike powers.

Their journey will take them from the luxe surroundings of a posh Paris opera house to the cold perfection of Siberia, where a mysterious string of dead girls and a hidden ice palace may hold the key to their victory. Or their ends.

The official synopsis describes the story as follows

"Severin and his team members might have successfully thwarted the Fallen House, but victory came at a terrible cost — one that still haunts all of them. Desperate to make amends, Severin pursues a dangerous lead to find a long lost artifact rumored to grant its possessor the power of God.
