Gryffindors and why we’re not as popular as fans seem to think
Every fan of the Harry Potter series has their favorite house but Gryffindors are often seen as the “popular” kids but that’s not necessarily true.
When it comes to Gryffindors, they’re often seen as the “popular” kids of the Harry Potter series. But the problem with that is that when you look at the actual fans of the franchise, there aren’t that many Gryffindors among them.
Maybe it’s because when we read the books and watched the movies, we were constantly in Gryffindor common room with Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. It was their story and we were living in their Hogwarts house.
But with fans, we can all chose our own house and the brilliance of that is something many fans take seriously. Ravenclaws, Slytherins, and Hufflepuffs fill fan events and many of us represent different houses. I, personally, am a Gryffindor but there are plenty of times when I am the only Gryffindor in a room and that’s because Gryffindors are so important in the series that…I just think that it’s that kind of Hogwarts house where people don’t really feel like they fit in it.
But that’s also what makes choosing your Hogwarts house so special. It’s not just about which house is the best or what house Harry Potter was even in. So that’s why Gryffindor might not be the most important house in the series. It’s about what you, as a fan, feel like represents you.
So yeah, Gryffindors might not be the most popular house but we are a proud one and that’s great.
