When Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released, many of us had problems with how Queenie Goldstein was treated and she deserves so much more in Fantastic Beasts 3.

Queenie Goldstein is the kind of character that seemed like she was going to get a better go of it in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald than she did in the first film and yet, that wasn’t the case. A character lost to her own fears and hiding away her power, Queenie was kept in the dark throughout most of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

So when Crimes of Grindelwald came, she was standing up for herself (sort of) but decided to join a racist man because she wanted to be with Jacob. It…doesn’t really fit with her character and many found it offensive.

Luckily for fans of Queenie, we have Fantastic Beasts 3 coming our way, which means that we have another chance at getting it right with her. It’s not that she was treated terribly, it’s just that her storylines are contingent on people telling her what to do instead of Queenie actually being able to stand up for herself.

And when she finally does, it’s because of Jacob and not because it’s really something she should be doing for her own benefit. Maybe we’ll get a redemption for her or maybe it’ll just be more of the same but Queenie Goldstein deserves better than whatever Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald gave her and hopefully we get to see her in a new light by the third installment.
