When it comes to what students were allowed and not allowed to bring to Hogwarts, music always seemed interesting so what did the students listen to while at school?

Listening to music is a part of growing up but when you stop and think about students at Hogwarts, it’s hard to imagine them ever getting a chance to listen to music. As far as we know, there weren’t any record players or disc players or anything really for them to bring their own music with them.

So what did students do when it came to listening to songs? Is there a magical equivalent to listening to music? Or do they just have to give up their music when they go to school and leave it all at home? As people, many of us flock to listening to music while we work or relax so there had to be at least one student who didn’t want to just give up all their music while at school, right?

It’s one of the strange things about Hogwarts like yes, students are going to a school to learn about magic but they just leave all their electronics and social media behind? They just disappear for most of the year and say “well, time to go to magic school”?

Sure, the series probably would be different now that we’re so online but it still is interesting to think about our everyday things that we know and love and how they don’t seem to really exist at Hogwarts and how we would all cope without those simple joys.
