Have we advanced past the point of returning to the Harry Potter series frequently?
For years, we would turn to the Harry Potter series to bring us hope and guidance but is it time that we leave the series behind and move on to something else?
The Harry Potter series is one that means a lot to fans and we often come back to it and explore the themes there. But it has then ushered in this need for us all to continually connect the series back to everything happening in our real lives.
So, have we moved past that as fans? Honestly, probably and we should stop comparing every political thing that happens to an aspect of the series. But also, maybe it’s just how we start to understand everything that’s happening.
If we put it into terms of the series or compare people to Voldemort or Umbridge, we can understand our own hatred. It might not be the best way of looking at society but we do it because we understand and love the Potter series.
But it may be time we move on from comparing everything to the world of Harry Potter and start to look at the world through a different lens. Not everything is black and white and it won’t ever be but the series makes us see things that way and maybe we can find a bit more of that gray area if we don’t put real life through the Potter lens.
The Harry Potter series probably won’t ever really leave us but sometimes we do have to evolve past the things we love.
