July isn’t just Harry Potter’s birthday but it also is when many of the books (and even some of the movies) were released because it is an important part of the history of the series.

The Harry Potter series has a lot set around July. The same could be said for the fall and the holidays but with July, there are moments in the series that call out as well as the fact that so many of the books and films came out around this time. So, what’s so special for the month of July for Harry Potter fans?

Well, it’s the memories. For many of us, we remember going to the movies or to the midnight book releases with our friends and family. July was filled with staying up late to read the latest Harry Potter book and it was a time when everything was about the Wizarding World and that was that.

Flash forward to now and those memories are still an important part of why we love this series. Sure, we love the story of Harry Potter and his quest to take on Voldemort but it is also about the friends we made along the way. Whether in our online communities or through watching the movies all together, it’s about remembering what it was like to go on this journey when we were kids.

Going to the midnight screenings for the Harry Potter series is something that will stay with many of us for quite some time and getting to think about all the joy the series brought to us through moments like that? It’s incredible.
