Harry Potter alums Fiona Shaw and Helena Bonham Carter secure Emmy Nominations

Both Fiona Shaw and Helena Bonham Carter have secured Emmy nominations for their work and it continues to prove just how amazing the cast of the Harry Potter movies were!

We love the Harry Potter cast and to see them thrive outside of the series is a wonderful thing to see. Now, both Fiona Shaw and Helena Bonham Carter are incredible performers and had careers far before they took on the roles of Aunt Petunia and Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter series and continue to have amazing performances after.

Now, they could be Emmy winners! Both are nominated in the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series which means that we have to choose between the two but it also shows their incredible work. Shaw is nominated for her role in Killing Eve while Bonham-Carter is nominated for her work as Princess Margaret in the third season of The Crown.

So, should you watch both of these actresses in their nominated work? Absolutely! Not only are they both wonderful performers time and time again but, especially, in The Crown and in Killing Eve.

For so long, fans of the Harry Potter series have clung to these actors as our faves and yet we haven’t seen too much of their other work but with careers like both Shaw and Bonham-Carter, we can easily see how brilliant they are beyond their roles in the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

Congratulations to both Fiona Shaw and Helena Bonham-Carter for their nominations, it’s just too bad it wasn’t for separate categories so we could root for both of you to win!
