One thing the movies really left out in the end? Teddy Lupin’s relationship with Harry
The Harry Potter movies left a lot out of them when they were created but there is one character that really got the short end of the stick and that’s Teddy Lupin.
When Harry Potter was fighting Voldemort, he ended up becoming the guardian to Teddy Lupin. The son of Remus Lupin and Tonks, Teddy was given to Harry when his parents died in battle. The thing is, you’d never know that if you watch the movies because they barely mention Teddy at all.
A character that probably, in the grand scheme of the series, isn’t that important, Teddy should be a bigger part of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child because he is, technically, one of Harry’s children. Instead, it’s like everyone forgot about that part of the storyline.
Teddy Lupin, as a character, didn’t have much. Added in Deathly Hallows, Teddy was a baby when his parents died and, for whatever reason, they left an eighteen year old in charge of him. Flash forward to Cursed Child, when he’d have lived with Harry and…nothing.
It’s just like they ignored the character all together which is just a bit strange. If you didn’t want to include him in anything, why even bother letting Tonks and Remus have a kid in the first place? Or why even bother giving him to Harry? It just feels like he wasn’t that important and yet he is important enough to be given to Harry Potter??? It just doesn’t make that much sense.
