Harry Potter news: When will HBO Max re-add the Harry Potter movies?

Since the Harry Potter series is leaving HBO Max on August, do we have any idea when the series will come back to the streaming platform? Or is it never going to return?

Our excitement over getting to watch all eight Harry Potter movies on HBO Max was short-lived. Just as quickly as they were added, they were also taken away and we don’t really know when they’ll be added back to the streaming service.

So, when do we think the Harry Potter movies will be back? Probably not super soon. Sure, they were only there for a few months but still, it doesn’t seem like they’re going to rotate the titles back every few months.

Maybe next year at this time, we can expect to see them on the platforms again or maybe HBO Max will adjust their idea of swapping out titles like they typically do on their typical streaming platforms (like HBO Go or HBO Now).

Until then, it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll just put the Harry Potter movies back on the platform as quickly as they took them off. Maybe sometime soon we’ll get to see the series and have them at our disposal for more than a few months but until then, maybe just wait for a little while and revisit the series is a different way?

Who knows what the future holds for the world of Harry Potter but maybe the movies leaving HBO Max so soon isn’t really a bad thing because we can explore other franchises and worlds. But then again, it would be nice to know when they’re going to be easily available again.
