Using her platform for good, Emma Thompson is speaking up by supporting Greta Thunberg’s climate change letter and urging people to take climate change seriously.

Climate change is an important issue and one that many either push to the side of forget is even a problem but not Emma Thompson. She has constantly used her platform to express her worry over the current climate situation and now she’s joining in with Greta Thunberg to help spread awareness.

Thunberg is the 17 year-old activist who took it upon herself to advocate for the planet when the adults around her, seemingly, would not. The teenager became a household name and is joined now by the likes of Thompson to spread awareness to the world so we actually start to pay attention to the climate change happening in our world right now.

Climate change is a hot button issue because there are people who just say it doesn’t happen despite the fact that there is proof all around us. So having someone like Thompson continually bringing awareness to it helps us all take a serious look at what is happening. Joining the likes of Malala, Leo DiCaprio, Priyanka Chopra, Shawn Mendes, Coldplay, Margaret Atwood, Ben Stiller,  Annie Lennox, Ellie Goulding, Russel Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, The 1975, Juliette Binoche, Mark Ruffalo, and more, seeing celebrities stand up and use their platform like this is incredible.

Mainly because maybe it’ll help people recognize that this is something we should actually be paying attention to. So good on Emma Thompson for joining Greta Thunberg in the fight and hopefully this puts some action into what we all need to do to stop climate change.

Next. Despite a boom, J.K. Rowling’s book sale are lagging. Wonder why. dark
