Let’s see which professors of Defense Against the Dark Arts are the worst
Every fan of the Harry Potter series has their favorite professors but let’s take a look at Defense Against the Dark Arts and see who is really the worst of them all.
The professors of Hogwarts are often some of our favorite characters but, for whatever reason, we have taken to clinging to the professors who taught Defense Against the Dark Arts more than others. Probably because the position was constantly changing and, for most of them, they were absolutely terrible. So, let’s get into it.
Let’s remember, for a second, who we all have. Starting with Professor Quirrell, there was then Gilderoy Lockhart, Remus Lupin, Mad-Eye Moody, Dolores Umbridge, Severus Snape, and Amycus Carrow.
Looking at all our professors, it is easy to know who is on the top of the list and who is the worst of them. The best? Well, that goes to Remus Lupin. Sadly, he was forced out of his position but he was the best of the best.
Next is a hodgepodge of different professors because lets be real, they were mostly terrible teachers with the exception of Lupin. Moody never really had a chance because he was Barty Crouch Jr. the entire time and then Lockhart never cared about teaching. Carrow was a Death Eater and Snape is…well Snape. Quirrell basically brought Voldemort (or whatever he was while attached to Quirrell’s head) into Hogwarts to torment Harry and yet he isn’t even the worse. So who is?
It will always be Umbridge. An actual monster, Dolores Umbridge is the worst in the series as well as being a terrible professor.
