The real villain of the Harry Potter series? That’s always going to be Umbridge
When talking about the real villains of franchises, it can often get complicated but let’s be honest: The real villain of Harry Potter is Dolores Umbridge and her evil pink suit.
Voldemort often gets the bad wrap for being the villain of the Harry Potter series but we know the truth. The truth is that it is Dolores Umbridge. The woman who showed up in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, she came to Hogwarts and brought a fury with her that would leave the Weasley Twins out of ever returning to school.
She came in, literally tortured students, and continued to pass it off as some kind of “helpful” way of discipline when, in reality, she is just evil. The problem is that so many people look at the series through Harry’s eyes and he’s so focused on Voldemort that sometimes, Umbridge is forgotten. But literally, she’s the worst.
A woman who uses a facade of being this sweet, pink wearing, cat loving woman who tortures kids to get what she wants? It is absolutely terrifying and there are very real women like her out there in the world.
So, the next time that someone starts to ask you about the real villains of the Harry Potter, remember that Dolores Umbridge is pure evil wrapped in pink and ready to make you use your own blood in a quill as a means of torture. Yeah, think about THAT when you start to think about what real villains do. She made Harry use his own BLOOD AS INK.
