Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy: The one relationship everyone can agree on
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a magical experience on stage but the relationship between Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy is something incredible to see.
With Harry Potter and the Cursed Child comes Albus Potter and Scorpius Malfoy. A forbidden “friendship”, many fans instantly began to ship the two together and it has spawned into one of the biggest ships from the series.
And it is time to embrace it. Throughout the show, Albus and Scorpius find themselves stuck in time and trying to fix their mistakes, often leading to Albus ending up in Gryffindor instead of Slytherin and the two being house-crossed “friends”. I would call them lovers but in the context of the show, they are not actually a couple but let’s be real, Albus and Scorpius definitely went on to date each other. Right?
Still, their relationship is interesting not only because it is a bit more genuine than we’ve seen in the Harry Potter series previously but they’re really the only other person the other has. Scorpius doesn’t really talk to his father that much, Albus basically has written off his family, and so they only have one another to rely on.
It’s sad but it makes their relationship that much stronger because they want to do whatever the other needs and they just want to be there for each other. Overall, it would be nice if we could see more of them in the future. They’re wonderful characters who still have so much to give and maybe they’ll be in something later on in the series.
