With both the Harry Potter series and the Fantastic Beasts movies, we’re reminded of who are heroes are and who can lead the series better? Newt Scamander or Harry?

We’ve followed the world of Harry Potter for so long that when we finally got to see Newt Scamander lead a film, many clung to him because it was something new and different in the magical world. But who really has the best franchise?

Honestly, it is always going to be Harry Potter because he’s the character who started it all. Newt Scamander is wonderful and great but he isn’t Harry. Harry was the Boy Who Lived, the one we wanted to protect and see succeed and while we got to meet Newt and see how he was going to take on Grindelwald with the help of Dumbledore, we know he fails because of what happened in the original Harry Potter series.

Newt has his friends, is trying to stop the oncoming war, and cares about his creatures. All of that is fine and wonderful but it was a world built on our love of Harry. So Newt is always going to have a bit of a disadvantage when it comes to this argument. We love Harry Potter first and foremost because he’s our favorite and the reason we started on this journey in the first place.

So, while we love Newt Scamander and the journey he is going on, it is always going to be Harry Potter who we turn to with our love and devotion.

Next. Fine, Slytherins are not that bad. We just had to have a Hogwarts house to fight. dark
