How will Saanvi cope with killing the Major?

Poor Saanvi has had a rough go of things lately. Struggling to come up with a genetic cure that could release the Flight 828ers from their Callings and subsequently save them from their Death Dates, she’s been driving herself relentlessly. She herself is no longer experiencing the Callings. Plus, you know, her therapist turned out to be a secret military leader mining her for information.

And, in the season 2 finale, she accidentally killed someone. Sure, that person was the villainous Major and probably nobody in the Manifest universe is going to cry over her loss. But murder is murder and Saanvi is already in a vulnerable emotional state. She’s clearly going to suffer in the wake of this.

But what’s next for her? Will the Major’s death further motivate her to find a cure for the others, in order to make that decision to poison her mean something? Or does her increasing isolation within the narrative indicate that her character is becoming increasingly nonessential to the story?

What does it mean that Eden is an 828 baby?

After a difficult birth, new Stone family baby Eden has arrived, healthy and whole. Hurrah! But what does her future hold, and how will her presence impact Manifest’s story going forward?

While she was pregnant with her new daughter, Grace experienced Callings just as her husband and son did. Now that she’s given birth, will she lose this common bond with them? And, if not, will Olive be able to deal with forever being the only Stone family member this doesn’t happen to?

And what about Eden? Even if she does experience Callings, she’s definitely too young to understand them. But her status as the world’s first 828 baby instantly marks her as memorable and important, and will likely draw plenty of people to her from around the world. And whether they’re obsessed with her as a godlike figure or convinced she’s the second coming that kind of global scrutiny can’t be good for a baby, can it?
