Minerva McGonagall is a better character than both Severus Snape and Dumbledore
We often think about Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore more than others but Minerva McGonagall is easily the better character of them all and we should respect her.
For so many of us as fans, Minerva McGonagall has a soft spot in our hearts. She’s a character we have come to love and her strength is what makes us love her most of all. But why is she not a character that has the same kind of respect that fans give to Dumbledore and Snape?
Is it because she survived when they didn’t? To be honest, if anyone deserved to survive the franchise and carry on in the wizarding world, it is McGonagall. But there is just some level of love for her that hasn’t reached the level that some fans have for Dumbledore or Snape and it isn’t easy to explain.
Both of those men are incredibly flawed. To the point where it almost ruins them as characters and makes their legacies tainted. But for Minerva, she doesn’t really have that. She was just a character who constantly tried to do the right thing and even then, made sure to protect her students and her own beliefs.
She deserves to, at least, have the respect and love that those two get when she is, in a lot of ways, better and maybe the best of them all. Minerva McGonagall deserves all our love and more because she was there for her students, happy to help them, and ready to defend them when things came to push and shove and we should remember that.
