Fugitive of the Judoon

The obvious choice, and hands-down best episode of the season, is “Fugitive of the Judoon”. The installment was a jam-packed hour that upended much of Doctor Who lore as we know it, bringing back fan-favorite John Barrowman even as it introduced Jo Martin as a brand-new Doctor.

Granted, the ultimate explanation for why a heretofore unknown Doctor exists – and has a TARDIS of her own that looks freakishly like First Doctor William Hartnell’s – turned out to be kind of messy and unsatisfying. But that doesn’t take anything away from this episode, which is shocking, entertaining, and fun by turns.

Doctor Who will return this holiday season with festive special “Revolution of the Daleks”.
