Voldemort is the reason we didn’t end up getting Hogwarts letters?
All those years of wondering why we never got our Hogwarts letter might have just been solved by Mugglenet because it could all be Voldemort’s fault and that’s not fair!
For so long, many of us have wondered where our letters to Hogwarts have been and the answer may have been at the hands of Voldemort all along. Looking back to the series and the facts there in, those of us who were reading it as children would have gotten our Hogwarts letters back in the early 2000s, after the Battle of Hogwarts.
In an article published by Mugglenet, they point out that Voldemort destroyed the records of muggle-born witches and wizards which would, in the case of all of us waiting for our Hogwarts letters, mean us. Unless your mom is a witch or your dad is a wizard then I think maybe you’re just not meant for the wizarding world.
Honestly, it makes sense when you think about it. For so long, fans of the franchise wanted to know where our letters were and then years later found out what Voldemort did so…why would we think back to when we were eleven and where it fit in the timeline? (To be honest, it took me forever to realize that the series just wasn’t magically aging with me because it felt that way for a while.)
This is all good fun, we know that the American wizarding school is probably just different ages (I’m kidding, I sadly know that I will never be a witch.) But it is a fun way to look at why we all never got our Hogwarts letters. We can just blame Voldemort.
