The Millennials are known as the Harry Potter generation and now Gen Zers are making fun of their connection back to the series and honestly, fair make fun of us.

Saying what your Harry Potter Hogwarts house is isn’t a personality trait and the next generation are taking online to call out Millennials. As a millennial, we get a lot of grief for things completely out of our control.

But…we do connect back to the Harry Potter series a lot more than we need to because it’s almost aggressive how much we want to be labeled as a Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, or Slytherin.

What’s interesting about this fight isn’t even that they’re shaming us for being fans of the Harry Potter series but rather that Millennials are becoming the “boomers” they complained about? It’s interesting not because it’s not untrue but because they’re also just thinking that Millennials are in their thirties.

Generational divides are weird in general because so many of us are just lost and not knowing how to be adults. That includes all generations, not just Gen Z or Millennials but it’s fascinating that our defining characteristic is this series. Especially when we had a lot of political upheaval and so many things working against us as we started to head into the workforce.

But, at the end of the day, we are a generation who loves to label ourselves according to the Harry Potter series so it isn’t exactly surprising that that’s how we are labeled. I’m a Gryffindor and sadly very proud of that fact.

Next. There are nearly double the amount of male characters in Harry Potter than female. dark
