Thanks to a global pandemic, it’s been a while since we’ve seen our friends, both real and fictional. But tonight, thanks to the return of The Bold Type, we finally get to reunite with Kat, Jane and Sutton.

Be prepared for some changes though, lots of things changed back in March. Let’s recap real quick, shall we?

Janestripe seems to be officially officially done, as Jane determined that Ryan’s actions and subsequent lies were too much to look past. Following Sutton and Richard’s wedding, Jane headed to the hospital with the girls to have her surgery.

Kat’s life is also in upheaval, as she sacrificed her job at Scarlet to expose RJ Safford’s support of an Alabama senator who supports conversion therapy.

Sutton, on the other hand, seems to have gotten everything she ever wanted. She married the love of her life and got the dream job.

It’s been almost exactly three months since The Bold Type aired its mid-season finale, and three months later is exactly where we pick up tonight.

Three months after her double mastectomy, Jane is all set to return Scarlet and kick off her vertical. And it appears there might be a new man catching her attention. The problem is, he’s her employee. So that should be fun.

Naturally, Kat will be facing the fallout of her actions, and where she ends up next is anyone’s guess.

But let’s not ignore the part where Sutton may be pregnant. As truly enticing as the idea of Dad!Richard is, the girl just got the career move she wanted. If we’re doing this, let’s do it right. Let Sutton have it all – she deserves it.
