PlayStation Plus members are in for a treat for their free June games. Be prepared to spend the entire month playing both titles!

Sony announced one of the PlayStation Plus games for June relatively early, but we had to wait until this past weekend to hear what the other half of the offerings for this month are.

And man, they are both excellent gaming choices.

Here are your two free games for the month of June:

  • Call of Duty: WWII
  • Star Wars Battlefront II

And here’s the announcement trailer from Sony:

You know, if there’s a better way to waste the month of June before the release of The Last Of Us Part II, I’d like to hear it! (Granted, that rumor about it being Spider-Man was definitely too good to be true….) Plus, after the rather lackluster May offerings, PS Plus members were due a solid month of gaming.

First up is the game Sony announced early this month: Call of Duty: WWII. The hype and excitement for this announcement was high. Originally released in 2017, it received pretty favorable reviews. Most outlets saw it as a good continuation of the Call of Duty series.

Plus, the return to Nazi Zombies was a lot of fun for multiplayer.

But seriously, if you want a period game that’s not Assassin’s CreedCall of Duty: WWII checks all the right boxes. The worldmap is full of hidden passageways connecting everything, the visuals are stunning for a Call of Duty game, and the multiplayer is about the same as every other COD multiplayer.

Star Wars: Battlefront II feels like weird timing, as my husband just finished Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order a few days ago. While it wasn’t released to stellar reviews at the time, it’s since had major updates, and honestly, one of the best parts about it is the multiplayer mode.

The game itself honestly plays a little like The Rise of Skywalker in that most of it is just planet jumping with random quests shoved in with notable characters popping up in them. Which, if you’re a Star Wars fan, isn’t always a bad thing. But if you’re going into this looking for a solid campaign, I’d maybe focus on the multiplayer aspect.

dark. Next. What's new in June for Xbox Live Gold members?

Both of these games are available to download for PlayStation Plus members through the month of June. Don’t miss out!
