Xbox Live Gold members have four new games to choose from for their monthly subscription for June 2020. Let’s dive in and see what’s worth your time!

Gaming has been up as of late, thanks to the majority of the world being quarantined at home. Even as parts of the world start to slow open back up, games aren’t going away anytime soon.

Enter the Xbox Live Gold subscription and all its games. It’s always a treat to see the announcements at the end of every month for what’s coming out next.

Below are the offerings for June,  the systems they’re on, and the dates they’re available to download:

  • Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, June 1-30 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
  • Coffee Talk, June 16-July 15 on Xbox One and Xbox 360
  • Destroy All Humans!, June 1-15 on Xbox 360
  • Sine Mora, June 16-30 on Xbox 360

Here’s the announcement video as well:

What? No racing game this month? Color me surprised!

First up is Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse that originally came out on the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. The third game in the Shantae series, it was released to very positive reviews. And it is a really fun game to play, a solid exploration-driven platformer that doen’t feel too outdated. Play as Shantae and team up with her nemesis, Risky Boots, to stop the Pirate Master from reviving himself.

Now, I personally have not played the next title, Coffee Talk, but doing research about it has me ready to download it when it’s available. Play as a barista, the owner of Coffee Talk, and interact with new customers every day, trying to help them with their problems while making their drinks. As a former barista, this is right up my alley.

It doesn’t seem like a long game, but it may just give you your humanity fix that you’re craving right now. And I’m sure it’s better than My Dinner With Andre the game.

Destroy All Humans! may be similar to Bender’s catchphrase, but the game has nothing to do with Futurama. Play as Crypto-137 and terrorize the people of 1950s Earth while you try to bring down the US government. It’s a surprising amount of fun to play. This is the original version that came out in 2005 and not the remastered one released last month.

Last up is Sine Mora, a side-scroller shoot ’em up game. Plus time travel! Honestly the time-based mechanics are the coolest part of this game and it’s worth it to download and try solely because of them.

dark. Next. X-Men: The Animated Series remains the gold standard for superhero adaptations

As always, don’t forget you can still download one of May’s offeringsWarhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr–until June 15th.
