How could we have a list of Tony Stark’s biggest moments in the MCU without including his final stand against Thanos? One of the most epic and emotional scenes in the Infinity Saga, this one takes place at the end of Avengers: Endgame — solidifying Tony’s status as one of the MCU’s greatest heroes, and ensuring that Thanos can’t continue to wreak havoc on the galaxy using the Infinity Stones.

Tony’s final moments against Thanos are emotional, especially as he realizes that he’ll have to use the Infinity Gauntlet to snap the villain and his minions away — sacrificing his own life in the process. And as amazing as it is to watch him make that choice, it’s even more heartbreaking that his final words call back to the first scene on this list. (Seriously, can anyone hear the sentence “I am Iron Man” without being reduced to tears anymore?)

It’s a shame that Tony had to part ways with the MCU, but if we was going to go, we’re glad his final moments were worthy of his character. If anyone deserved a memorable send-off, it was him — and he certainly got one.
