Why Fantastic Beasts isn’t as fulfilling for some fans of the Harry Potter series

While we have Harry Potter and now the Fantastic Beasts series, fans of the franchise have lots of magical content. So why isn’t Fantastic Beasts as big for those Potter fans?

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is a fun series because it is expanding the world of Harry Potter with entirely new character. Well, sort of. We still have some favorites who make an appearance but why do fans of the original series not love Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them as much?

Following the story of Newt Scamander, there is just something about the new series that doesn’t quite click with the world we’d come to know from Harry and his friends. And so while yes, we’re expanding on the wizarding world and learning more and more information about it, there is just something that’s not the same.

And it isn’t that there aren’t characters we know. Dumbledore has been a part of it and we even knew of Newt Scamander back with the Harry Potter series but still, it isn’t the same story and so it makes sense that, for some fans, the Fantastic Beasts movies just aren’t really for them.

It’s weird to say that it’s okay to not like something in the franchise but it is. If Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them isn’t for you or if Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is understandable. We all have different tastes and sometimes, that even separates us from certain parts of our favorite series.
