Tuca & Bertie: 4 things we’d like to see in season 2

Tuca & Bertie fans are excited about the series return to television on Adult Swim. But what storylines and characters would we like to see from season 2?

Tuca & Bertie fans, let’s put our hands together to celebrate the show’s upcoming second season! The show’s return is great news. It was shocking when Netflix decided to cancel Tuca & Bertie after only one season, especially because the show got a 100-percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was considered one of the best new shows of the year. Creator Lisa Hanawalt even took to Twitter to address the disappointed fans and critique Netflix’s approach of using an algorithm to determine a show’s success.

But after being resurrected, the show’s 10-episode second season will premiere on its new home, Adult Swim, in 2021.

If you’re not familiar with the show, Tuca & Bertie is about the friendship between Tuca, a vivacious tucan voiced by Tiffany Haddish,  and Bertie, a determined but anxious songbird voiced by Ali Wong, and the many obstacles they go through together and separately.

Now that the show is back, fans can revisit Tuca and Bertie’s zany world, where animated humanoid birds, mammals, plants, and humans co-exist. The last episode of season 1 left fans with many questions, and hopefully they will be answered in the second season. There were also funny guest characters who would be enjoyable to see again.
