Moments of the Harry Potter series: Harry running after Bellatrix Lestrange
Harry Potter was emotional and loved to share those emotions but the moment that sticks out the most is after Sirius Black’s death when he chases down Bellatrix Lestrange.
Sirius Black died and Harry Potter had one goal in mind: Find Bellatrix Lestrange. While he was often emotional and willing to let those emotions lead him, Harry was different after Sirius died. He was right to fight for his godfather and didn’t care what happened to him in the process, and that includes coming face to face with Voldemort.
While Harry had known death, there was something about Bellatrix killing her cousin before him that was different. Cedric wasn’t necessarily his friend but seeing his death hadn’t been easy. There wasn’t a fight in Harry after that, other than just getting Cedric’s body and himself away from Voldemort and the Death Eaters but with Sirius, it was the only father figure he’d come to know.
So, in the emotional game of the Harry Potter series, the most heartbreaking moment was watching as Harry ran after Bellatrix, trying to fight through his emotions and seeing how far he could go in order to try and take her down.
It’s sad really that these moments are so poignant because it shows the struggle that Harry faced throughout the series but alas, it is something that we have to look back on when looking at him as a character and this particular moment is one that sticks out as one of the most emotional in the series as a whole. Poor, Harry Potter.
