Why is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets the one we tend to ignore?

When it comes to talking about our favorite stories in the Harry Potter series, Chamber of Secrets is never really a topic of conversation and why is that? What is it about Secrets we don’t like?

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is interesting because it sets up a lot of the series but it is rarely someone’s favorite from the series. The question isn’t necessarily “why” but rather what is it about Chamber of Secrets that many of us fans don’t particularly love.

With Chamber of Secrets, we learned about Tom Marvolo Riddle, we learned of Moaning Myrtle, and we learned about Hagrid. But other than that, it was a strange look into the darker parts of Hogwarts and didn’t really focus on making up for the fact that Hogwarts definitely can be a completely unsafe place for students.

Especially since the students of Hogwarts still fight to stay there when their classmates are dying. There’s even a point where Harry wants to figure it out so that he doesn’t have to go back to the Dursleys. So maybe, when we all stop and think about, the reason we don’t love it is because the concern isn’t necessarily the dead children but what it actually means for Hogwarts overall? Who knows but Chamber of Secrets is one of the few Harry Potter stories that we tend not to go back to and that’s probably for a good reason.

Anyway, Prisoner of Azkaban ended up being way better than Chamber of Secrets anyway.
