As Killing Eve season 3 continues, Villanelle heads home from Russia and we’re all waiting to see what happens next.

Last week’s Killing Eve sort of took some time off from the main season 3 story. We journeyed to Russia with Villanelle in a bottle episode that introduced her family and wrestled with both her dark past and her complex relationship with the mother that abandoned her.

Don’t get me wrong, “Are You From Pinner?” is a great episode, and features one of star Jodie Comer’s best performances. But it also….well, it left most of season 3’s plot threads out to dry. Eve didn’t appear in it at all, and big stories like Nico’s death or the investigation into Kenny’s murder weren’t addressed.

But now that Villlanelle’s heading home, it appears as though Killing Eve’s main narrative will get back on track.

We hope, anyway.

The next episode is entitled “End of Game,” and to be honest, we know almost nothing about it.

Season 3 isn’t really doing episode synopsis this year. (Not that those are usually a fount of information or anything.) And BBC America has once again chosen not to release a proper episode promo for this installment this week.

Instead, we get a sneak peek at an upcoming scene – involving Villanelle crashing Konstantin’s daughter Irina’s hockey game. There’s an air horn involved. It’s strangely cute, in the weird way that Villanelle can sometimes be, but it doesn’t exactly give us much look at the episode story.

(Reminder: Villanelle kidnapped Irina back in Season 1. Feels relevant.)

How any of this relates to the season’s larger plots is anyone’s guess. We’re still waiting to see Eve’s reaction to Nico’s murder, whether she really believes Villanelle did it, and how the assassin herself will react when she finds out not just that her crush’s husband is dead but that she’s getting blamed for the job.

In short: There’s a lot that could happen in this next episode – and this season has already shown us that it’s really willing to take big risks. What’s next? We’ll have to wait and see.
