The sixth episode of Mrs. America premieres tonight. Here’s everything you need to know to stream Cate Blanchett and Rose Byrne’s new show.

FX’s newest show, Mrs. America, streaming exclusively on Hulu, follows the women’s liberation movement of the 1970s as they seek to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment alongside conservative homemaker Phyllis Schlafly who eventually led to its demise.

At the two-thirds mark of the season, Mrs. America has already introduced us to many storied women from the women’s liberation movement and STOP ERA. Let’s find out what the cast is up to with this week’s episode, “Jill.” According to IMDb, the official synopsis reads:

"With a pro-ERA Republican in the White House, Phyllis protests her own party, which puts her in conflict with Republican Feminist leader, Jill Ruckelshaus."

Now at a post-Watergate/Nixon impeachment point in history, Gerald Ford has taken office as president, a Republican who notably supported, along with his wife, the Equal Rights Amendment.

As Mrs. America tells it, Phyllis feels strongly outraged by any Republican who supports the ERA, even though women’s rights were becoming so salient, and the ERA so harmless, that to support it for many Republicans seemed like an easy olive branch.

It’s not surprising then, that Phyllis, who has already displayed an uncanny and unearned level of arrogance, believes she can take on the president herself.

Let’s see what’s in store this week with the preview for “Jill”:

At last, Elizabeth Banks’s Jill Ruckelshaus takes center stage as the “sole Republican” in the women’s liberation movement, and thus the most equipped to take on Phyllis’s latest attack against the ERA.
