The obsession that many of us have with the Black family
The Black family has been in the Harry Potter series for a long time but there is something about them that keeps us intrigued so let’s take a look at why we have that fascination.
When it comes to Harry Potter, we all have these characters we’re absolutely fascinated with and part of those characters are the Black family. Filled with Sirius, Bellatrix, Regulus, Narcissa, and more, it is a family mixed in with Voldemort and his problems and has led to many fans wanting to understand how Sirius ended up coming from it.
The truth is, the Black family is probably interesting because we don’t know that much about them other than what Sirius tells us and through what Harry learns from him in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. There is a beauty to the dynamic and what we actually know as fans of the series but seeing an actual series unpacking their family history and understanding where all the fragments in their family tree came from.
Sirius Black doesn’t talk to his family, runs away to basically live with James Potter when he’s a kid because of it all and seeing why that happened and how they’re all still connected. Sirius is Draco’s cousin (technically) because Sirius is his mother’s cousin.
There is a lot we can look to and explore more and I think that’s where that obsession comes from. We just want to know more and see how the series can explore the dynamics that were clearly there for them.
