Where does Voldemort rank on the link of bad guys? Well, it depends

There are a great deal of villains in this world and when you lay them all up together, how does Voldemort really line up with them in order of evilness? Does he even come close?

Voldemort is the kind of villain who haunted many of our childhoods and kept us afraid of those who could rise to power but, when looking at the grand scheme of villains, is he really one of the best? To be fair, he isn’t Thanos or Sylar.

Part of the fear with Voldemort isn’t his power, Harry takes him down easily and Harry is fine in the end. Instead, it’s his willingness to do whatever he has to to reach his end goal, much like how Thanos didn’t care who he hurt on his way to the Infinity Stones and much like how Sylar was willing to rip off the skin of those he needed.

To be honest, we can look at even Palpatine and Steppenwolf and see the same kind of trend. All of these villains are thrown into this because of their warped sense of self and views and through all of that, we learn of the monsters they really are. So yes, Voldemort is terrible and frightening but he’s not the worse in the span of all villains. Even in our own history, there have been men who are worse than Voldemort is and what’s sad is that Voldemort is absolutely terrible and the kind of person no one should strive to be.

But that’s just the world we live in.
