Hermione Granger is the kind of character that many of us look to for guidance and is an icon in her own right. But how did she become one of the most popular characters from the series?

For so many of us, Hermione Granger was the kind of character we would often look to. She wasn’t afraid of being herself, knew where her strengths lied and told so many of us, as fans, that it was okay to be true to ourselves and our abilities.

Harry and Ron would be nothing without Hermione. Not to say they couldn’t have succeeded without her but they were wildly better off because Hermione was there to help them. With schoolwork and beyond, Hermione Granger was there ready to help and make sure that her friends were happy and safe.

So why is she one of the most famous characters from the Harry Potter series? Because she’s the kind of person we related to. She loved to read, loved to study, and was extremely important to the overall success of both Harry and the series.

Hermione never really wanted to change herself to fit someone else’s vision. When she got made fun of, she moved passed it and still stayed true to herself and that’s an important message for fans to have. We don’t have to change who we are just because others think there is something wrong. Hermione’s strength and intelligence is something we can continue to learn from even now that the series is over and there are so many new fans learning from Hermione too.
