The muggle world and the wizarding world were pretty separated but when Voldemort came to power, how much did the wizarding world tell the muggle politicians they spoke with?

The wizarding world always had done a bad job of talking with the muggles, especially when it comes to Voldemort. Or Grindelwald for that matter. The witches and wizards want to keep their world safe so they constantly tried to hide away from what was happening in their world to the muggle world.

But that definitely came to bite them when Voldemort rose to power and was willing to do whatever it took to be right and win his own battle. So…should the witches and wizards maybe have talked to the muggles? In the beginning, yes. That much was clear in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone but then, continuing on, they still aren’t really telling them much.

Sure, Cornelius Fudge has a connection to the Prime Minister but that’s…maybe not enough. Voldemort has risen to power, he’ll kill anyone in his path, and the witches and wizards are just “handling” it on their own without warning muggles?

It’s kind of terrible and makes sense as to why muggles might not be too keen on the witches and wizards since they’ll willingly let people die because they won’t want to tell them about Voldemort. Still, all of that kind of political side of Potter is complicated and it’d be nice to take a deeper look into the relationships between the political leaders of both worlds.
