Bruce Springsteen was never asked to make a Harry Potter song but he did it anyway because his kids loved the series and that’s something we should talk about more.

When it comes to writing things about the Harry Potter series that no one asked for, we, as fans, are no stranger but neither is Bruce Springsteen. The accomplished musician wrote a song a while back about Harry and his friends in hopes of it making it into the movies. Why? Because Springsteen’s kids just liked the series and he wanted to be cool.

Obviously it wasn’t used for the movie (and there really wasn’t any kind of song like that in the movies other than Nick Cage’s “O! Children” but still). It’s hilarious, at least to me, that Springsteen just decided to write a song without anyone asking.

He’s talked about it, he just did it because he was reading it with his kids, but imagine your parent being Bruce Springsteen and just being like “Wow I love Harry Potter and his friends” and then the next day, your dad hands you lyrics to a song about the series with the hopes that it will end up in the movies.

To be honest, if that was me, I probably would have told my dad that it wouldn’t fit in the Harry Potter series but it’s still one of my favorite facts about the Harry Potter movies. Springsteen was just so excited that he did it before anyone had the chance to really ask him and honestly, that’s a mood.

Next. Lily Luna Potter, the child of Harry Potter that we really know nothing about. dark
