What movie fans are missing with the Harry Potter series: Charlie Weasley
The Weasleys have a big and wonderful family and that means that there are different brothers to love but fans of the Harry Potter movies might not know about Charlie Weasley.
Charlie Weasley is the kind of character who was the cool older brother to Ron who came in with dragons and only showed up from time to time. But, when it comes to the Harry Potter movies, they didn’t really include Charlie other than to say he existed and honestly, that was a mistake.
Let’s think about it: How cool would the dragon loving Weasley have been on screen? Sure, we eventually got to meet Bill Weasley who was attacked by a werewolf but he’s only the second coolest older brother to Charlie and then the twins, Fred and George.
It’s a little upsetting that we got to see so much of Percy Weasley, who is consistently the worst, but not enough of Charlie Weasley or, by extension, Bill. It’s just another installment into the series of things that the movies left out that the books had.
Sure, some of the things that the movies didn’t include makes sense but Charlie? He rules he literally lives with dragons and gets to take care of them so why wouldn’t we want to see him out of everyone else? Like cut Percy and his nonsense instead of Charlie who takes Norbert from Hagrid to give him a good home or brings the dragons to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament.
It’s a little sad there are people who will never know the truly amazing person that Charlie is.
