When it comes to incredible Harry Potter characters, Minerva McGonagall is one of the best and there is a reason that she remains a fan favorite even after all these years.

Minerva McGonagall was the professor who cared deeply for her students and wanted to make sure that they were safe above all else. She cared about Harry Potter in a way that wasn’t just making sure he was fine to take on Voldemort but rather she wanted to make sure he was safe.

So often, the professors were there to make sure that Harry was alive and well because they knew what was to come for him, they knew of his history but McGonagall was the first one, in my eyes, who actually cared about Harry Potter as a person.

She wasn’t there just to make sure he was alive and well for his job and his destiny. She wanted to protect him because she cared about the well-being of her students. Minerva McGonagall is strong, brave, and willing to do what she has to in order to protect her students because that is just the kind of person she is.

Minerva McGonagall is about protecting those she cares about while standing by her murals no matter what else came at her. She’s the kind of character who we can all learn from and grow with and seeing her over and over again in the series makes it so that we can all remember why we love her in the first place. So why not love her even more?
