A new quiz proves one thing about Harry Potter fans: We’re all still proud of our houses
So often, we like to take Harry Potter quizzes just to see if we get the same houses that we’ve always been a part of and now, we’re doing it again and honestly, good.
There is a special game that many Harry Potter fans play. It’s a roulette of sorts and it is just us all constantly taking Hogwarts House sorting quizzes to see if we get our same house over and over again. The truth is, we want to be convinced that we picked the right house so when we take multiple quizzes, it is just a way to reaffirm the house we love most.
For instance, there is a new Harry Potter quiz on Instagram that has been going around where you move your head back and forth based on a question and, by the end, they give you a Hogwarts house. Look, it’s not like we don’t already know what houses we belong in. As fans, we’ve known since we first read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone what house we’ve belonged in (or at least many of us have).
So why do we keep doing quizzes now? I think we just want to be right. We want that justification of having our choice in a house be the one we get in quiz after quiz. As a Gryffindor, when I got Gryfindor in this latest quiz, I felt like I’ve been proven right yet again and all it was was some random quiz online.
We just want to be justified and right in our choices so…we just keep doing quizzes.
