One thing the movies got wrong was that Harry Potter was constantly warned
Harry Potter, throughout the entire series, was warned about when he’d finally know everything about Voldemort and what waited for him. The movies did not show that part of the story.
When it came to Harry Potter’s life, he was constantly warned of a time when he would know. What exactly he would know, we weren’t sure, but then, by the end of the series, we realized that the truth was always that Voldemort was a part of Harry because he was one of his Horcruxes.
What the movies don’t do is show us that part of the story. Maybe it was on purpose, trying to keep the secret for those who did not read the books but that looming idea of what Harry would know sat with many and made him question what was going to happen.
But then in the movies, he just went through his own story until he was at the end of his line and had to meet Voldemort face to face in the end. Whether or not that would have meant more had he known that there was always going to be something coming for him, we will never know but there is a part of the books that just makes more sense and it’s this.
Harry went through his life knowing that something was always coming and that he’d one day know what it all meant and I think that without that in the movies, we’re missing part of what makes Harry Potter such an incredible hero to look up to.
