HBO’s Westworld continues this Sunday, with an episode that appears ready to fill in the blanks about one of its most mysterious figures.

Last week’s installment revealed the scope of Dolores’ plan by finally telling us the identities of the other pearls she brought out of the park at the end of last season. Turns out they weren’t Teddy or Clementine or anyone we might have expected.

No, they were all herself. Dolores made copies of her own consciousness and inserted them into different host bodies. To what end, we’re still not entirely sure. She clearly wants access to the supercomputer Rehoboam. But why? And what happens after she gets it?

The next episode is entitled “Genre”, which eagle-eyed viewers will remember was the name of the supposedly epic new party drug that Lewis’ friends gave him before he was kidnapped. (The one that apparently wrecked Roderick’s girlfriend enough that she thought seeing a supposedly dead Dolores wasn’t that weird. So you know. Wow.)

If the episode trailer is anything to go by, “Genre” looks to finally give us some answers about the enigmatic Serac, the brains behind Rehoboam, who is also seeking to take over Delos and capture Dolores. Where did he come from? And what does he want, really?

Perhaps we’ll finally find out.

The destruction of Paris that Serac saw in a flashback while talking to Maeve appears again, leading us all to wonder just what’s happened in the world prior to the launch of machines like Rehoboam and places like Westworld. It must be…bad, right?
