The Season 16 premiere left fans with dozens of questions. Now, many of those featured storylines might be coming to an end in the finale.

You know it’s a good season of television when things come full circle. The beginning of season 16 was when we first learned Amelia would become a mom. It also showed us Richard struggling to find his “new home” in the medical field, and Teddy trying to navigate her complicated relationship with Owen.

It’s unclear how many loose ends this week’s episode will actually be able to tie up — it’s not the finale they planned for, but it will have to suffice for now. There are a few things we can take away from this week’s preview. The rest will, hopefully, surprise us.

Last week we learned that Teddy and Owen plan to elope after she spent months putting off wedding planning due to being … involved? … with Tom. This might be one of the storylines that won’t completely get resolved. Or it will end with a wedding — or not? Stay tuned.

We also know Amelia is presumably — finally — going to have this baby. Link’s baby (we’re so glad that’s no longer a mystery). Unless something goes horribly wrong, we could finally see Amelia get the bundle of happiness she deserves after all this time. Don’t take our joy away, Grey’s. Let us have this one thing. Please.

The one thing most fans hope to find out before the finale ends more than anything else is what’s actually wrong with Richard (and whether or not it’s treatable, of course). We’ve come a long way since the “Meredith might lose her medical license” days. Now we’re not just afraid for a beloved character’s career. We’re hoping they can fight for their life.

Fan theories still disagree on a potential diagnosis — some possibilities are treatable; others aren’t. One thing’s for sure, though: This will be DeLuca’s final chance to prove himself. If he can get this right — and please, agree to get treatment — he can earn back the trust of his colleagues and friends.

If not … well, that just might have to be a storyline they finish off next season.
