Harry Potter really didn’t get to know his parents and the family he did have hated him and that kind of representation to kids meant a lot when they were first reading the series.

The character of Harry Potter means more to fans than just being the hero of this story. For many, he was an escape and a way of looking and what they could do to get out of their situation. Harry Potter, like many children around the world, did not have the best family situation.

When his parents died, he was forced into an abusive household and could not really get out of it. Until he found out about Hogwarts and left without really thinking about them (once he could leave, of course).

So what’s really important about that though is that Harry was a symbol for many who do not talk to their families or did not have a great upbringing. He was a source of comfort and something they could look to for guidance in a way that they may not have had beforehand. And that’s something that the Harry Potter series will always have for fans.

No matter what happens with spin-off series or how we feel about additional stories, we’ll always get to look back on that original story that inspired us and made us feel as if we were seen and could relate. Whether it was with Harry’s story or if you were a Hermione Granger or any other character in the series, that love will always be ours to come back to.

dark. Next. In times of trouble it is always very clear: We all read the Harry Potter series
